Cyclists like to take their own bikes when travelling overseas but find packaging a problem. All the more so nowadays what with increased security and airlines being less generous about waiving excess baggage costs. Sturdy, padded bike bags are on the market but they are expensive. A cheaper alternative is a cardboard bike box from a bike shop, but it is bulky and heavy. Then what do you do with the bag or box when you get to Paris, San Francisco, etc.? Can’t store it these days, luggage storage is no longer readily available.
What’s needed is a bag that provides protection, doesn’t weigh much and can fold up into a small size, enabling it to be carried on the bike (or posted ahead to the end destination). The RoundPeg bag does exactly that.
