Solar PV panels on suburban house roofs are making a big contribution to renewable energy but there's a downside - they aren't very attractive, particularly the ugly, very conspicuous aluminium mounting frames and brackets
Fortunately, RoundPeg Innovations has developed a new type of clamp which is much more attractive, and provides a neat, uncluttered, finished appearance.
Moreover, the RoundPeg clamp provides a higher, more direct clamping force than the Z brackets normally used on the ends of the aluminium rails. Hence it is better able to resist wind loads and also prevents ingress of weather, debris and insects.
The clamp is a simple aluminium diecasting with novel features (patent pending), expressions of interest are welcome.
