Flying Carpet – an animated explanation
NOTE: This animation shows passengers arranged in row order BEFORE their boarding passes are checked. However, more recent real-world trials found that placing the Flying Carpet just AFTER boarding pass checking was more efficient and easier to manage. Also, we found that small groups of 15 to 20 passengers worked best.
Flying Carpet – First Real-World Trial

Flying Carpet vs Rear-to-Front Airplane Boarding
NOTE: This simulation shows how much faster Flying Carpet boarding is than Rear-to-Front. Multiple repetitions show that it is also more consistent.
